Reno: The Biggest Little City In The World.

Thursday:
So the preparation begins right after school. Me being lazy, I decide to go on the computer and put music on the I-Pod instead of packing. That pretty much lasts 2 hours of my time. As soon as I finish that I begin to start packing. Sweats, shirts, shorts, racing gear, etc. That didn't take that long. After that I realize something..... I need a beanie! So I go to Walmart first to get hand warmers and crap and then go to the mall to get my beanie. PUFF BALL BEANIE!!!!!!It has a moose on it lmao. So after that I'm pretty much ready. I just upload the new Billy Talent III CD to my I-pod and I'm off to Paul's house.

I get to Paul's house and we just chill there until like 10 P.M. and then we load up the SUV and we're off to Reno. In the car is Paul, his dad, his little brother Max and myself. We drive all night so we can get to Modesto. Really tiring, I end up falling asleep in the car.

Friday:
I wake up and when we get to Sacramento we stop and eat. At this moment I can't remember for the life of me what I ate so yah. We drive on farther through when it begins to snow, the first time I've ever experienced it. Pretty amazing.

We get to Reno and we first stop and see the coarse. Me and Adrian run it in our sweats and it sucks. The terrain is unleveled and its almost impossible to pick up the pace. We put on our spikes and run to the start line without sweats. We do 10 strides on the start line in short shorts and a shirt. Beast.

We go back to the hotel and then go get some dinner. Pretty good pizza. We go back to the hotel and watch a ghost show. Knock out around 11.

-Saturday
So we wake up around 9 and our race is around 2 so we chill for a bit. We learn that the race has been postponed for an hour because of the snow so what does that mean for us? BUFFET! We go to the buffet and eat till we can't eat anymore and head back to the room to change into our running attire. So much layers.... We find the tram and I sit down and whose right in front of me? The state champ Ammar Moussa!! We were hearing all these rumors whether he was racing or not so it was kinda intimidating to say the least lol. We get there and we begin our warm-up. So tiring -.-
We get to the line and the sound the gun. I begin the race in a sprint to get in a good position but die out a little because the hill is so long. I spend the rest of the race constantly passing people and trying to make up the deficit. I get to the last 300 meters and I start to pick it up. Faster and faster, the 100 meters and I take off and pass like 10 people in the sprint. Alot of fun.

A great day

Today began like any regular school day. Wake up late, go to school etc. Classes were pretty cool. I finally am starting to really get calculus. I spent most of the time rehearsing lines for Whyte which we ended up not having to go. The squirrel thing wasn't cool though and fuck you to those who did that. -.- Well aside from that b.s. the day was pretty chill. Rehearsed lines with the group and yeah just went home.
It turned out I had to go to practice for my club so dad drove me to walnut so that I could practice. Pretty cool that he does that for me, really appreciate it. The run itself was pretty enjoyable, running 50 minutes with James and Adrian throughout the city talking about chicks and stupid shit we've done. Those guys are pretty chill.
So Im about to leave from practice when coach gives me something. A check? I go on and read it, "175 dollars" for nationals. He tells me its from the club for some support for paying for my stuff this weekend for nationals. Turns out its from everyone, all the parents pitched in. He just says it looks like your really into this and you've been putting in the effort. Really cool. Its hard to explain the feeling in words. Im so happy I joined. The people there are amazing. No bullshit, they come to run and they are apart of the whole drama thing you find on a school team. Im so greatful to be apart of it. Nationals is a couple days away and I will do what I know I have to do. Im excited. Can't wait, Reno shall be fun.
Thanks to all those that made this day great. Really appreciate it.

The Answer?

So I sit here in my living room while I think of what has happened in this past week. ugh Scratch that. Its more like Im reliving it all. The conversations the actions, the situations, the emotions, the thoughts, just everything. Im just here confused, what does it all mean? I constantly wonder what these moments mean for me. If it was just a moment of reflection wouldnt it just occur at the most once a day. I constantly go back. Back to different moments, some good others just horrible. Then quickly it changes from one subject to another. Right when I begin to dig for the answers, everything changes and it seems as though that quest for that answer has been lost in translation. I feel. I feel as if I have no lived. I hear others. Their miraculas stories. "This spot brings me back...." I cannot say I've experienced anything of true significance, more like ive been babied all my life. I hear stories from people about what theyve done the places theyve escaped to. I think of these college apps, questions asking about a significant time in my life, something ive experienced. How can you answer if you dont think you've really lived!

Lets see, I guess its true, if I knew all the answers now, there would be no point in living.
I guess I'll just stumble upon them myself. This constant changing of subjects is just a daily thing, in my conversations and in my head. This is getting confusing time to stop.
End of post.

To start.

Well I guess I have a blog. I was kind of thinking of getting one because it just sounds kind of interesting. I go off and try to make one and find out that I had one a couple years back. Trippy. So I guess I'll begin where I planned to start in the first place.
